Style Highlights: Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes is a Latina bombshell. But she doesn't rest on her good looks alone. No. This girl knows how to put together any outfit with the help of her celebrity stylist, the lovely Ms. Rachel Zoe herself. Which look is your favorite? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Eva Mendes in Prada [left] and Zac Posen [right].

Eva looks stunning in green. And although the purple shoes might give the look a sort of eggplant feel...oddly enough, I don't mind. The detailing at the bodice is stunning. Eva paired the look with a printed clutch and kept with her signature hair style--long, loose waves.

This dress is perfection. Zac Posen...sigh. I adore the flutter of the sleeves and the angelic way the gowns sweeps behind her on the floor. The fabric was a splendid choice and the low cut of the gown is a complete contrast to the otherwise innocent feel of the gown. It kept the look fresh and not matronly. Magical.

Eva Mendes in Salvatore Ferragamo [left] and Andrew Gn [right].

At first I was hesitant about this dress. I thought it look a little...messy? But then the longer I looed at it, the more I feel in love. I realized that I'd missed the complexities of this dress. The pruposeful smattering of stripes and colors is really quite gorgeous. Although I don't love the white cinched belt I do think Eva looks stunning. But what else is new?

Can you believe that this gown is velvet and not sequined? I was amazed and part of me still can't believe it. This gown fits Eva like a glove--the tailoring is fantastic--but the simplisity of the entire look is just breath-taking. The first time I saw this look I knew that I was going to blog about it. And that day finally came.

Thank you! Thank you! I'm the luckiest blogger to have such great readers. I'm so thankful for all the people who've stuck with me after all these years. I honestly can't believe its been years. Please don't forget to follow my blog. I'm so grateful.

Eva Mendes' Sophisticated Style

Happy Friday! Right now I should be on a train into the city. Today I decided to highlight Eva Mendes' impeccable style. She is one of Rachel Zoe's clients [whom i adore] and she always looks amazing. Which look is your favorite?

Eva Mendes in Gucci [left] and Oscar de la Renta [right].

Eva goes bold in this strapless Gucci dress. It is easy to blend into the carpet in red--probably why many stylists tend to stay away from the color--but with her effortless confidence and beauty, Eva is able to outshine any obstacles. Beautiful.

Eva can also outshine the business of a print. Oscar de la Renta is known for upper class sophistication and this beautiful printed sundress is no exception. The longer hemline is elegant without looking matronly and her minimal accessories helps enhance the beauty of the dress rather than distract from it.

Eva Mendes in a white shirt and 3.1 Phillip Lim skirt [left] and Oscar de la Renta [right].

Eva looks ready to take of the world in this work-place attire with a modern twist. Lim is known for the comfort of his clothes and draped skirt is to die for. The modern white shirt and wedges looks crisp and clean. Perfect for almost any occasion.

A pop of color that makes me smile. Many women look sallow or sick in yellow but Eva with her healthy tan and bright smile brings to mind the images of sunshine and happiness. The texture of the dress is engaging and unexpected. But Eva keeps the look simple with simple black pumps and delicate jewelry.

Red Carpet Alert!: LWD

Make way litte white dress, for the long white dress. It is the perfect way to make a statement on the red carpet. And it is slowly becoming a favorite among fashionistas everywhere. What do you think?

Kirsten Dunst in Chanel [left] and Kristin Davis in Balmain [right].

Kirsten Dunst looks flawless in that Chanel. The red lip. The retro hair. The bold earrings. There is nothing I would change. Kirsten is so admirable because she dresses for fashion not to please the main-stream media. But this looks pleased both fashionistas and non-fashionistas alike. The delicate neckline/top of Kristin Davis' gown is so beautiful. There is no denying that.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Emilio Pucci [left] and Eva Mendes in Dior [right].

This is the gown heard round the world. When Gwyneth Paltrow stepped out in this daring gown it grabbed huge attention. From the front it appears demure and minimalistic but that side slit sends a statement. Some people said that it was inappropriate for a woman of her age but at what age does being sexy end? She has better bodies than many twenty-year-olds and more power to her. Eva stuns in this simple white gown accented with vintage turquoise jewelry. A statement cocktail ring and a pair of subtle earrings and the look is complete.

Jessica Stam in a floor sweeping gown [left] and Dakota Fanning in Valentino [right].

Jessica Stam--Canadian supermodel--looks amazing in this mod-inspired look. With high teased hair and monochromatic, sweeping gown looks incredibly modern with simple but important touches like a round clutch and bold, chunky lilac necklace. It hangs on her body beautifully. While Jessica went for minimalistic, Dakota went for volume. The tightly fitted bodice is juxtoposed by her alightly overwhelming skirt. The skirt is a bit unconventional because it starts below the hips.

I'm about to take my sister to Starbucks--that was part of my Christmas present to her. She has fallen in love with White Chocolate Pepermint Mochas [minus the Mocha]. So we're going to get cofee and then spent the day at the mall. On my dime, of couse. Wish me luck. What did you get for Christmas?

Happy Birthday Jimmy Choo!

I know its hard to believe that the Jimmy Choo brand has been keeping feet fashionable for 15 years. But as of just recently, it has been that long. The famous shoemaker was born in Malaysia into a family of shoemakers.  Its very impressive that he was able to take the family business and turn it into a multi-million dollar empire.

Eva Mendes in Christian Dior and Jimmy Choo shoes [left] and Hilary Duff in jeans, black jacket, and Jimmy Choo for Hunter boots [right].

Cameron Diaz in Diane von Furstenberg mini and Jimmy Choo booties [left] and Nikki Reed in a gold-sequined mini and strappy Jimmy Choos [right].

Jennifer Aniston in an Alexander MCQueen blazer, Valentino Haute Couture mini, and Jimmy Choo heels [left]. Diane Kruger in Chanel and Jimmy Choo mary-janes [right].

Jimmy Choo is loved by many. And the shoes are so versatile. From rain boot to mary-janes. From strappy heels to boots. There's nothing you could desire that Choo doesn't make.
