Top Ten: Proenza Schouler Spring 2011

Spring is the air...finally! Today the intro will be rather short because I have to go soon but I'm going to be talking about the top ten looks from Proenza Schouler's Spring 2011 RTW collection. I love the way the designing duo mixed pastels and bright bolds into one cohesive idea.

Jessica Alba + PS1 Large Leather

Proeza Schouler's PS1 bags are a timeless classic that any girl would be lucky to have in their closets. I semi-recently featured this item on my blog but I was obsessed with the Kelly Green version. Jessica Alba has been spotted everywhere with her black one--and this is a more practical option, as it is harder to find things that look good with a bright kelly green bag.

Jessica Alba at the ABC studios in NYC wearing her always chic PS1 large leather bag, Rachel Comey Bernard clogs, Decades Denim Skinnies, a plaid peacoat, multiple grey craves, and a cozy maroon sweater [left].

Jessica Alba out in L.A. wearing her faithful PS1 large leather bag, Aqua Draped leather jacket, flats with a fringed detail, black skinny jeans, and an infinity scarf [right].

Jessica Alba out in L.A. wearing her PS1 large leather bag, silver and black aviators, ripped light wash jeans, metallic sandals, a simple black long-sleeved shirt, and delicate jewelry [left].

Jessica Alba leaving the Oaks Gourmet in Hollywood wearing her lovely PS1 large leather bag, Ray Ban Wayfarers, Kenneth Cole fringe sandals, Madwell Georgette flutter dress, and a Domino Clothing Cassie denim jacket [right].

These bags are not cheap. Click here if you want a PS1 bag like Jessica Alba. Proenza Schouler produces this bag in so many colors and in so many textures that the possibilites are endless. [not to mention the different sizes each option is available in]

Thank you for reading! Please go check out my personal blog and [maybe even] follow this one! I would be so grateful.

Obsessed: Proenza Schouler Medium Leather Satchel

This bold bag is for the style risk-taker than is hidden in every girl. The bold color is modern update on the classic PS1 mold. Carry it across the body or like a briefcase from an alternative strap on top. Pair it with a monochromatic look or one that needs an instant pop of color. Who says that function can't be sweet? This bag is for the girl on the go who needs to be hands-free so that way she can hold her cofee in one hand and hail a taxi in the other. Also, did I mention that the color is pure perfection?

Kristen Stewart in Vogue

I was so impressed when I saw these photos. And there was no way that I could not not post these pictures. [sorry for the confusing double negative] So without further ado, here are a few pictures and outtakes featuring Vogue's newest covergirl in one of my all time favorite brands ever--Proenza Schouler!

Breaking Dawn director, Bill Condon, described Stewart as "one of the smartest actresses I’ve ever worked with...Not only does she have astonishing technical ability, she has an incredibly incisive and serious approach to character. She has just unlimited potential.”

Kristen Stewart with Proenza Schouler designing team, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.

Stewart feels the pressure of her enthusiastic fanbase from the Twilight Saga films. "I just want the fans of the book to be happy.” She laughs. “I don’t necessarily care about anyone else.”

What is currently on Stewart's nightstand? Dave Cullen’s Columbine; Into the Wild author Jon Krakauer’s Under the Banner of Heaven, a study of radical Mormonism; and Anna Karenina. On her iPod? The Shins, Broken Bells, and Jenny Lewis.

I can't wait for the weekend to finally get here! Don't forget to check out my twitter account and my facebook page! Whenever I reach 900 followers on GFF, I will host a giveaway. What type of prizes do you want?

Red Carpet Alert!: Proenza Schouler

Thank goodness Monday is over. Only four more days until Friday! From the comments left in my last post I realize that I'm not alone in my active loathing of Mondays. Today is a post about one of my favorite brands! Yes, of course I mean Proenza Schouler.

Miley Cyrus [left] and Jessica Alba [right] both in Proenza Schouler.

Miley Cyrus looks roker in her loose fitting tank and unique leggings. She's still trying to distance herself from her Hannah Montana image with a style that is more than a little rough around the edges. Sometimes she goes a bit over board but this is just enough rock and roll for me. Jessica's look is one of my absolute favorites! A digital print sheath with matching shoes. So adorable.

Chloe Sevigny [left] and Kate Bosworth [right] both in Proenza Schouler.

Chloe Sevigny is known for her acting but more so for her trend-setting styles. She looks stunning in two classic PS pieces. Feeling bold? Follow Chloe's lead and wear socks with shoes other than your running sneakers. Kate Bosworth stood out in this dress. Although I wish the background were a different color, there is no denying she looks stunning. I want that striped piece for my closet. If only I had an event to wear it to...

Anna Paquin [left] and Rashida Jones [right] both in Proenza Schouler.

Anna Paquin stole my heart in this cobalt blue number. It was so traditional and yet unique at the same time. I think the texture of the fabric. She completed the look with simple patent leather heels and I wouldn't change a thing! Rashida Jones' style is starting to grow on me. I haven't seen much of her work but this girl can work a red carpet. Pair a simple grey top with a digital print PS mini skirt. Add shunky heels and the look is complete. I really like her makeup and hair too.

I'm in a musical rutt. The same songs playing on my iPod time after time. What are you listening to right now? Please leave any suggestions in the comments. I would be so grateful! Thanks. And I'll see you guys tomorrow. Oh! And happy 1/11/11. I can't wait until 11/11/11. :)
