Obsessed: Taara Flower Ring

Good morning! Today I'm going to writing about my new favorite ring. Megha from Taara Jewelry was kind enough to send me a couple products to see what I thought about them. This was by far my favorite piece. I love the simplicity of the gold and crystals but then the design pattern is so engaging and artistic.

Here, is a look from the side. As you can the ring is adjustable. That bump in the back is actually how you can adjust the ring to your finger size. I had thought that I'd lost this ring for three days until I saw my sister playing with it. Apparently she liked it so much that she'd thought she'd just take it. What is mine doesn't mean it's also yours. But I honestly didn't mind it that much. I'd just wish she'd ask. Am I alone here?

Finally a picture of my new favorite ring on my hand. I normally wear this ring on my right hand but my left hand is unable to performs act of picture taking on its own without ending up with a super blurry product. And for those wondering, I'm not getting married. I'm too young. Also, the color I'm wearing on my nails is OPI's Rumple's Wiggin'.

Elle Fanning's Milk-Maid Braid

Elle Fanning is such a fashionista! And she's not even old enough to drive. I have blogged about her in the past and each time I see her on the red carpet my admiration for this Ms. Fanning just grows and grows.

The topic of today's post is my obsession with the above pictured hairstyle. I believe that some people called it the "milkmaid braid". But no matter what it's called, I think it is absolutely stunning. It frames her small face perfectly. I also saw Zoe Saldana wearing this look but I prefer it on Elle.

I attempted to copy this look on Saturday and I thought it was a pretty decent copy-cat. When I was at Wal-Mart I actually got two compliments/inquiries about my hairstyle. I concluded that it was a success. What I simply adore about this look is the fact that it is so unexpected and unique. Instead of wearing a simple pony-tail or a messy bun, try the "milk-maid braid".

Drew Barrymore's Red Hair

Today I'm a little hair obsessed. Drew Barrymore recently revealed her new bold red hair and I immediately fell in love! Now I'm a huge Drew Barrymore fan--Music & Lyrics, The Wedding Singer, &

E.T. What's not to love about Drew? But this color just makes her skin shine so beautifully. She was beautiful as a blonde or a brunette...but I just adore this color!

It makes her green eyes just pop even more! The loose waves, that look completely effortless, are so simple and chic. I don't know if Drew dyed her eyebrows to match her new hair but they look a bit more copper-y in this picture. It takes a brave woman to make such a drastic change and I admire Drew's gumption. I really, do. I have been longing to make a big change to my hair--either chop it all off or dye it. I haven't decided yet but this summer I think there will be a huge change to my long, black hair. I'll keep you posted.

"Who Says" by Selena Gomez & The Scene

I have been listening to this song non-stop on iTunes. I have become obsessed! It has such a great message for girls and woman. Listening to this song makes me realize what music is really about. It isn't about girls dancing around in skimpy clothing and complicated dance moves. As much as I love these types songs--they're great work outs song and they can get me pumped--they don't make me think or feel something deeper than excitement.

"Who Says" is a song that doesn't need to hind behind shock and awe factors to make an impact on its audience. I'm also quiet impressed that this is coming from Selena Gomez, when so many of her other Disney co-stars have gotten in trouble with nudity and drugs, she seems to have a good head on her shoulders. I might be speaking too soon. But I'm impressed that she doesn't need shock and awe celebrity tactics to sustain a successful career.

I'm obsessed again. And its with something that I'll never be able to afford. Why is that always that case? I imagine throwing this jacket on over a simple dress and skipping out of my door without a second thought. Just looking at arouses images of elegance and sophistication.

OPI So Many Clowns...So Little Time

Today, I have another obsession. OPI's newest collection, Femme Fatale, has just been released. It has a bit of circus theme and I adore the entire collection. I Juggle Men is a beautiful sheer, icy color that will add sparkle to any other polish you might have or look stunning on its own. Step Right Up is a super soft shade of pink that is perfect for any girl who wants a bit of color on their nails while looking completely natural [this is my little sister's favorite!]. In the Spotlight is a baby pink that is really quite beautiful.

While I loved all the colors, So Many Clowns...So Little Time is my absolute favorite! It is a soft, cream color that is almost white but not quite. I have worn this on my nails everyday since I got it. I haven't fallen in love with a nailpolish like this since I picked up my first OPI nailpolish, Got a Date To-Knight.

It won't clash with any of the bright colors you might wear. I think this collection is perfect for anyone who might be buying a little girl their first nailpolish. Obsessed: Etoile Isabel Marant Sweater

Etoile Isabel Marant Roy Knitted Cotton Sweater

Living in the north does have its advantages. And as much as I moan and complain about the cold weather, I always miss it when summer rolls around. I love layers. I love wrapping my neck in a comfy scarf and tucking my hands into the lined pockets of my jacket.

I have been looking at this Etoile Isabel Marant sweater for days now and I can't seem to fall out of love with it. Oddly, enough it reminds me slightly of the type of sweater Ron Weasley got from his mother in the first Harry Potter movie, but minus the large golden R. Adding a pair of rocker leather shorts is the perfect way to add a bit of edge to an otherwise classic sweater--and keep from looking like you stole the wardrobe of a famous ginger from the wizarding world.

Obsessed: Emma Watson's Makeup

Hello, readers. I have a confession. I'm a bit obsessed with the makeup Emma Watson wore while recently shooting for her campaign as the new face of Lancome. While out and about in Paris, Emma was spotted wearing her hair in a slicked back look with a distinct part. Her brows are bold and so are her lashes. Emma kept the look natural with subtly smokey eyes and sheer foundation--sheer enough to let the freckles on her nose shine through.

Finally, Emma added a bit of color with bright and spring-inspired berry lips. They look more dewy than glossy, which I love. This look has got me so inspired, I'm actually going to be sporting a berry lip tomorrow because I loved how it looked on Emma. I'm thrilled to see what the final campaign will look like. I have such high expectations now!

Obsessed: Miss Dior Cherie Commercial

When I first saw Natalie Portman's print ad for Miss Dior Cherie, I was stunned by its simplistic beauty and oh, so French air. I could assume that this innocent yet seductive tone would help create a beautiful masterpiece with Natalie Portman in front of the camera and Sofia Coppola behind it.

Let's just say the pair did not disappoint. I'm sorry about the quality of this video. It was the best I could find at the time I was writing this post but if you want a better version, click here, for a link to the official website of Miss Dior Cherie.
