Rumor has it that Blake Lively...

Blake is known for playing the super-sweet, incredibly beutiful blonde. The one that everyone hates [even if its just a little bit] because she's just too perfect. There was Bridget Vreeland in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Serena Van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.

But while she has taken movie and TV by storm, she is a star in the world of fashion. Her long blonde hair and charismatic smile seem to sparkle in a photgraph. She looks great in almost anything she puts on. If only everyone could be as lucky. :)

That bright magenta color photgraphs beautifully. It is a color that looks great on most skin-tones--and Blake looks beautiful. The leather jacket keeps the Dior dress from looking too girly or frou-frou. It adds a bit of edge to the look. The only way to make this outfit better, was if the background had been any color other than black. Blake's entire lower half blend into the background.

This is casual chic! She looks ready to go shopping or countless other day-time activities. The blue leather skirt is an unexpected color for such a fabric. Then she picks the perfect top. It is a print to add interest to the outfit but the colors aren't matchy-matchy. The pulled back hair highlights Blake's natural beauty. Her simple makeup is perfect for the day.

Blake sparkles in that playful Elie Saab look. The cut-outs are both edgy and young. This woman is so incrediably photogentic and this look shows off her amazing legs. Simple black pumps and black nails finish of the look with effortless simplicity.

Next, Blake is wearing a look straight from the runway. She wore the look as it was in the show. Harness, broach, and everything. The dress is very fashion-forward and needs no touseled hair to distract from the craftsmanship of the look. The long slit is very sexy with glimpses of leg as she walks. Add chunky bangles and shoes to balance out the draping of the skirt, and the look is complete.

Gossip Girl this season is really good. So much better than last season. I love Clemence Poesy. She was amazing as Eva. I want Blair and Chuck to get back together but I can't get over how douch-ey Chuck was when he sold Blair for his hotel. Jeezz...boys. Are you watching Gossip Girl? [you should. jk!]

Karlie Kloss Rocks the Runway

Karlie Kloss is just like other teenagers her age--well, except for the fact that she's graced the runways of New York, Paris, London, and Milan multiple times. She is a breath of fresh American air. And she was even  born in Illinois before she sky-rocketed to super-stardom.

I was beyond thrilled when she recently made a guest appearance on Gossip Girl. It wasn't an Emmy winning performance but it was good fun for all of her fans to see her. I was watching and then all of a sudden she popped onto the screen--at first I thought it was just a Karlie Kloss doppelganger. :)

She's only 18 and Vogue Paris named her one of the top 30 models of the past decade! Now that's really impressive. :) I only see her fame and prestige growing in the years to come. She could become a great but only time will tell. Who are your favorite models on the runway? Please comment below!

Random on Friday

TGIF!! :) Tonight is another football game. Woohoo! We lost our first game so hopefully we win? Or maybe not lose as badly. There's always hoping. Today I should probably post about something fashion related. Because, well duh, this is a fashion blog after all.

But I feel like mixing it up a little today. Today's post will be completely random and really make little to no sense. :) I hope you guys enjoy and if you don't, I'll post another fashion post tomorrow or on Sunday. I promise! :)
__
I found this on youtube! It's the coolest--okay maybe not the coolest but its still pretty cool. Thanks Randon93! You're my favorite too. :)

[ugh. i can't get the video to appear so I'm just going to post a link. i hate it when technology lets me down] :(

My friend sent this picture to me in an email and I cracked up! The cat even has Robert Pattinson's pasty skin and steamy, smoldering stare. I don't know how people have time to do this type of thing but I guess I blog about fashion and other people enjoy dressing up cats like famous celebrities. Who am I to judge?

I don't mean this as a diss to Robert. I do enjoy the Twilight series. :)

Have you been watching Hellcats. I only caught one episode but I don't know if I like it or not. The drama with the cheer coach wasn't that interesting. I reserve the right to form an opinion until I've seen another epsiode. But, question: Does Martie ever wear a shirt that covers her belly?

Good thing she lives in Memphis otherwise she would get cold. :) [wow. i sounded really stupid just now]

Plus did anyone see Karlie Kloss on Gossip Girl on Monday! I guess I was completely out of the loop and I was sitting there thinking, "Wow. That girl looks just like Karlie Kloss. No...wait! That is Karlie!"

Oh, sometimes I'm so behind the curb. And I guess, that's the first random Friday. Let me know if you want more. If you want less, tell me. I can handle it...I think.

Chanel in Soho

I know. I know. I'm a week behind. With fashion week happening there is just so much to blog about. It's insane! :) But on Thursday Karl Lagerfeld was present when Chanel re-opened their store in donwtown Soho. It was filled with celebrities dressed to impress the fashion icon himself.

But incase you haven't seen the star-studded crowd that attended here's a quick glance at my faves.

Leighton Meester in classic black. I think she looks so sophisticated and I'm so glad that Gossip Girl is back. Ever since the Pretty Little Liars' summer finale I've been deprived of good high school drama. But since Jenny is the only one still in high school I don't think I can actually classify it as high school drama. But you know what I mean.

Speaking of Gossip Girl here's Blake Lively. She took the printed, colorful route. Quite the opposite from her co-star. But with confidence and stunning features, she continues to look effortless in anything.

Alexa Chung. When I think Alexa I always seem to think Chanel. :) This spunky Brit has an amazing sense of humor and style--which the two aren't always mutally exclusive. Her collaboration with Madwell is now available in stores and online. And from what I've seen its really cute. I might go more indepth on a later post.

Chanel Iman. I'll refrain from making a lame Chanel-Chanel joke. :) I know you must be proud. But her dress is gorgeous. The shimmer is fun and flirty. And that bold, red Chanel bag is the perfect accesory. I think its so cute how she's cradelling the bag for the picture. She definately knows how to sell a product, no wonder why she makes the big bucks. Hahaha. Just kidding.

Rachel Bilson. One of my style icons. She's always so confident and put together. Although I'm not crazy about the white fringe dress--I would never be able to pull this off. I think my friends would just laugh at me and tell me to go change. She pulls it off somehow. I wish the fringe didn't go past the edge of the dress but she still looks good. What are your thoughts? Yay? Nay?

Diane Kruger, Molly Simms, Paula Patton, and tons of other stars were in attendance. But I didn't want to make this too long. Especially since I think most people have seen these pictures. I blogged about them anyway because I just love Chanel. There was no way I wasn't going to blog about it. :)

$75 Target gift card giveaway ends soon-ish! Go check it out! :D

"We'll always have Paris"

Today is Monday and that means school [yuck] but it also means the season premiere of Gossip Girl! :) Yay. There was so much drama last season. Here's a mini spoiler alert if you haven't seen the last seasons finale. But with Dan's baby with Georgina and Chuck sleeping with Jenny.

I'm really sad about Chuck and Blair breaking up. They were so cute together--in a manipulative and kind of evil way. But they just completed each other. Sigh. I hope they get back together but I hate that Chuck slept with Jenny.

Ugh. I don't know why but Jenny just kind of annoys me. I don't like her story lines. They're kind of boring and she's a little bit of a brat. But maybe she's just going through a phase like Serena when she was with that married guy.

Adultary is NOT cool. Just for the record. Okay, spoiler alert isn't over. But its a sneak peak from the opening episode. Its a sample of what everyone--or rather just Blair and Serena with a dash of Chuck at the end--will be wearing tonight.

Also, I found this really cool interview with Eric Damon who is the costume designer for Gossip Girl on Instyle.com. Find out his inspiration behind everyone's style and how some of the character's style will evolve in the coming season. And also what trend does Damon think is "sooooo overdone".

What has B so upset?

There's nothing like a bit of retail therapy to make a girl smile.

Love the shimmer and shine!

Who's that cutie with S? Will he make her forget about all those boys from her past?

C is looking good. Much better than his usual suit and bow tie.

What do you think of Gossip Girl in the city of lights? Oh, don't forget to enter my giveaway. You could win a $75 Target giftcard.

Good Ole Navy

I started training for XC yesterday. Ran two miles. I. Am. So. Sore. I'm just lying down. I don't even want to think about moving. Not going to move until much later. I'd laugh but then my ab muscles would hurt. :)

Anyway. I love the nautical look. Its summer so I'm thinking of the ocean and sand. Maybe its because my dad was in the Navy. Idk. But I don't like the super obvious and sometimes tacky nautical look. I think Blake and Jessica are subtle and sohpisticated. Its not over the top but both of these ladies are sporting looks with just enough nautical flare. :)

Blake Lively. Wearing Henly Tank, Navy and White Smythe Jacket, Skinny Jeans,
and Peep-Toe Pumps.

Jessica Alba with Cash Warren in Los Angelos. Wearing Navy and Blue Coat, Black
Cardigan, Simple White Top, Dark Washed Skinny Jeans, and Red Ballet Flats.

How cute are Jessica's flats? Adorable. :) I'm just going to sit around today. I might run a mile today but I don't know. I need to get my stamina up. I don't know...I'll think about it. Have a great Tuesday. Pretty Little Liars is on today! Yay! So excited. :D

Enough About Eve

Blair (a.k.a. Leighton Meester) looks stunning in this look. This is a shot from the episode, Enough About Eve. Its the one where Blair really wants to deliver the freshmen toast and NYU. It was a good one. I haven't seen the most recent episodes lately though.

The yellow and the green color seem like they're going to clash but when they're put together they actually go quite nicely. This reminds me how the other day I had to explain to my dad that their was a difference between matching and going together. He still does quite understand. :)

Back to the topic at hand. Is that not the cutest lunchbox you've ever seen? Sigh. Its amazing. I was looking at the Paige Gmable website and she has a ton of other super cute lunchboxes. All of them equally adorable. :) Okay, here's how you can get Blair's look.

I cannot put into words how much I adore this dress. :) Its just so cute. The color is stunning and the zipper detailing gives it an edge. I like it when clothing items just have random zipper details on them. It can make a super feminine garmet a bit tougher, you know? Maybe its just me. :) So chic.

Did anyone see the newest epsiode of Glee? That show is so funny. Does anyone remember the Single Ladies dance? Hilarious! I laughed so hard. :) Stomach is grumbling I think its time to eat. Got to go.

You're the Lucky One!

Okay, my contest has come to an end. For me, its a little bitter sweet because, well, this was my first contest and of course I can never have another first contest again. :)

I know most of you are like, get on with it already! :) Okay. Drumroll please? Drrrrrmmmmm. The winner is.....Fun in Sun. Yay! Just email me with your information and where you would like me to send your prize.
__
Anway, I didn't want this to just be a blogpost annoucing the winner but I also wanted to share with you A Month of Outfits. It was an article/feature in the Lucky issue with Jessica Szhor on the cover.  You know the one from Gossip Girl?

This article was all about a month of outfits only using 39 articles of clothing. That includes shoes, jewelry, and jackets. Everything, well besides underwear, that you would need to wear. And I must admit that I've seen features like this before but a lot of times I sit there wondering, "Would anyone actually wear that? Because I know that I would not leave the hosue looking like that."

I'm very particular about what I wear. :) Anyway, I was surprised, pleasantly, when I saw that almost every outfit that Lucky Magazine put together I kind of loved. It's so nice to be pleasantly surprised rather than the other way around. :)

I think I'm going to re-organize/re-decoarte my room. Its painted this ugly, seafoam blue-green color. Hmmm...I think its time for a change. My room is a complete mess. No joke. Just wondering, but, are you messy or super organized?

Leave a Comment below! Bye. :)

Kick Back and Relax

Nudes have taken over the fashion world but it has also taken over my world. Or at least my cosmetic world. :) Yes, I have taken the leap from rosy colored lips to ones that look like I have nothing on. My mom has this lipstick color called Nice N' Nude and I put it on one time and thought it looked horrible. Horrible.

I looked washed out and pale and sick and just not...normal. But at the time (about a year ago) I failed to realize that I was missing out on a key step. The lipgloss, of course. :) Silly me.

Trust me. Lipgloss can transform a dull, pale nude lip into a stunning look. No lie. If you don't trust me look at the evidence.

Yes. Its Ms. Victoria Beckham rocking the nude lip. :) Doesn't she look amazing. Her messy hair and smokey eye just compliment her nude lip so well. Or should I say her nude lips compliments her messy hair and smokey eye?

I know that the nude lip is not a statment look but it helps create a statement look whether it be a bold eye or a intense hair do. The look is natural and stunning and...I've run out of adjectives. I don't want to sound like a broken record. :)

Mac's Creme d'Nude is a really nice color. My mom insists that Laura Geller's Nice n' Nude is the best. She is very loyal to her makeup brands. :) Either one gives an amazing look on the lips.

But Victoria is not the only sporting this look. Mary-Kate Olsen, Ciara, Angelina Jolie, and Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina Sparks from GG). Its understated but not all good things need to visually assault the person looking at it. :) Hahaha. Enjoy and try the nude lip. Everyone else is. :D

Standout

Is it Blake or the people at Gossip Girl? I don't know many women who could pull off Joie Pleated Silk Tank in Orange, Matthew Williamson Antique Beaded Vest, Chanel Flower Chain Necklace, and Bottega Veneta Ostrich Bag.

In this picture she just seems to standout in the crowd. Maybe its because her legs are so long. Idk. :)

I was just browsing through pictures to get inspiration and I saw this picture. I really didn't have much to talk about so....I just posted it and figured I could go off on some random tangent as the second part of my post.

How do you guys get inspiration?

At this moment, as I'm writing this I'm catching up on my episodes of Greek. Its a cute show. I mean its not The Vampire Diaries or Glee but I can't have it all. I didn't get into this show until about two weeks ago and it seems like I've been watching it non-stop.

Rusty is cute with his adorable dorky smile and hair. Casey has the dilemma that most girl could only wish they had. But the Cappie-Evan problem is so hard. One moment I think Evan is a pig and the next Cappie is a jerk. I'm so confused! Hahahahaha. :)

Why are dorks so cute on TV but not in real life? Don't forget to check out my giveaway! Please Comment and Follow! :D

Break Up the Dark

See:Remember Me
Okay. I know I told you guys in an earlier post that I was going to see this movie and going into the thing I was sure that I would absolutely hate it. But it caught me by suprise I actually enjoyed the story and complex characters that were thrown into the story. The begining was a little slow (just give it time) but the end was amazing. I didn't see it coming and it was just a really powerful movie. I was pleasantly surprised. :)

Read:The Van Alen Legacy
Over the winter break I literally devoured the Blue Bloods book series. But I'm still not quite sure how I missed the fact that there was a fourth book in the series. Some times I'm so oblivious to the things around me. This book is a mix of Gossip Girl and Twilight with a lot of action adventure thrown in there. I know that's a lot of stuff to shove into one book but somehow Melissa de la Cruz manages to do it effortlessly. I really recommed this book even if you don't like vampire books. It's an amazing read.

Watch:90210
I'm a huge fan of Gossip Girl. Which probably comes as no surprise to the people who've read my blog in the past. :) But I also really like to watch 90210. Its a fun show with witty dailouge and can you really get enough of popular rich kids and their drama? I don't think so. :) You watch this show on The CW on Tuesday at 8/7c. Enjoy! :)

Wear:AE Sequin Embellished Tank
I must confess. I love the look of this shirt and lately I become very fond of sequins. :) I don't know what it is (maybe its the twelve-year-old in me) but right now I'm absolutely in love with most things that sparkles. Sequin is adorable and it will trasnition effortlessly into spring. Its time to exercise your right to bare arms and show off your shoulders. I know I can't wait for summer to just get here already. Imagine how cute this shirt would look with basic denim cut offs. :) Sigh.

Tomorrow is Monday. Ugh. Ugh. :/ Don't forget to check out my giveaway and enter! :D What are you seeing, watching, reading, or wearing this week? :) Please Comment and Follow!

Blast From the Past

When I was little there was no Hannah Montana. No, we had Lizzie McGuire. She wasn't a regular kid by day and a pop star by night. She was just a reuglar girl with a normal family living her semi-normal life.

Wow. It brings back so many memories.

Maybe I've always been a big fan of Hilary's because I grew up watching her. I'm a very loyal fan. She was on the cover of Nylon a few months ago and she was also on Gossip Girl recently. I really liked her character Olivia. Although I really like Dan and Serena together. In my mind they're just meant to be.

Who do you guys like better Dan and Serena or Blair and Chuck? I'm a Chuck and Blair fan myself. They're just so prefect together.

This is definately a trip down memory lane. :) I remember watching That's So Raven, Even Stevens, Cow and Chicken, Rugrats, and CatDog. Jeez. Its been a while. I really used to love Rugrats. It was sucha good show.

The ealry '00 and the 90's were such a great time to be alive. :)

I'm watching the movie The Covenant on my computer. Partially because one of my friends is OBESSED with it and I'm always wondering what the hype is about. I've only gotten through about five minutes and the first five minutes are intense. :) Hahahaha.

Plus Chace Crawford is in it! Yay! And the guy who played Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl. Who knew this movie was so connected to GG? I didn't. :)

Seen any good movies lately? Read any good books lately? I might head over to Borders and Blockbuster later on. I'm really interested in what you guys are watching/reading. :)

Oh. Before I forget, if you are loooking to win a cute headband please head over to Sammi Suits. She's having a 100th post giveaway. That's so exciting. This girl is super sweet, she always leaves the nicest comment. Please check her out. :)
