Dress Like Ashley Tisdale

This is a fun post I did while I was still on winter break and I never published it. I hope that you like it and I hope the links are still fresh. I'm sorry if some of them are no longer working. This past week I have becoming [a little] obsessed with The CW show, Hellcats. Full episodes are available on their website and that was what I did yesterday when I should have been finishing my art project.

I have also re-dedicated myself to my second, and more personal, blog. I know that not everyone is interested in my day-to-day life but its there for anyone who wants to check it out! I'll see you guys tomorrow.

So Classic. So Timeless.

Summer. Classic. Chic. Fun. Adventure.

This is what I hope my summer is like. :) But I'd also like to look totally chic for summer and I turn to my celebrity inspiration to get ideas. I think I might do a series about summer chic-ness. Hmm...the possibilities.

Anyway, who better to start off a summer of fun and chic-ness (I'm not quite sure if that's a word or not) than Nicole Richie? Her Bohemian style transitions effortlessly into summer. So that's where I'm going to start my inspiration journey. :) Inspiration journey. Wow. That makes this sound like a deep, life changing experience.

Ok. I'll just get to the point of this blog. How to "Dress Like..." Nicole Richie! :)

Tennis summer camp started last week. Oh. My. Goodness. I have never run that much in my life. I don't know why it became super hot as soon as I started playing tennis. And I don't mean like 60-70 degrees. I'm talking like 70-80 degrees hot!

I know some people are thinking, 80 degrees? That's nothing. But I live in the North. The only time it gets hot is in July and August. :) I'm also really red because I wasn't smart enough to reapply my sunscreen. Not very smart...

I'm bummed that the USA is out of the World Cup! :( I can't believe we lost. After we'd come so far! Did anyone see the game against Algeria? Intense. I'm not normally a big soccer fan but it was nice watching soccer.

I don't know if I mentioned this but I planted a garden about a week and a half ago and some of my plants are coming up! I love gardening. It doesn't give me instant gratification but I like being able to see the progress I've made, you know? :)

I'm trying to be a little bit more organic and healthy. Plus, its just cool being able to say that you grow your own strawberries. Did you know there are purple carrots? I had no idea.

Sorry. :) This was a long post. But I feel like I haven't been blogging as often as I should. So I'm making up for it in one kind of long blog. :D Happy summer.

Enough About Eve

Blair (a.k.a. Leighton Meester) looks stunning in this look. This is a shot from the episode, Enough About Eve. Its the one where Blair really wants to deliver the freshmen toast and NYU. It was a good one. I haven't seen the most recent episodes lately though.

The yellow and the green color seem like they're going to clash but when they're put together they actually go quite nicely. This reminds me how the other day I had to explain to my dad that their was a difference between matching and going together. He still does quite understand. :)

Back to the topic at hand. Is that not the cutest lunchbox you've ever seen? Sigh. Its amazing. I was looking at the Paige Gmable website and she has a ton of other super cute lunchboxes. All of them equally adorable. :) Okay, here's how you can get Blair's look.

I cannot put into words how much I adore this dress. :) Its just so cute. The color is stunning and the zipper detailing gives it an edge. I like it when clothing items just have random zipper details on them. It can make a super feminine garmet a bit tougher, you know? Maybe its just me. :) So chic.

Did anyone see the newest epsiode of Glee? That show is so funny. Does anyone remember the Single Ladies dance? Hilarious! I laughed so hard. :) Stomach is grumbling I think its time to eat. Got to go.

One Day

Spring break! Yes! Oh, I need this. :) Just one week of relaxing and fun. Sigh.

Currently watching Criminal Minds. It is literally the scraiest show I've ever watched. Its so difficult to watch it all by myself because I get so freaked out! These people on this show are just creapy and sick. Yuck. :/ But at the same time its so addicting because its so scary!

Hahahaha. I'm just a huge contradiction. Have you seen the Starburst commerial that has the Scottish Koreans? It made me laugh so hard the first time I saw that. :) The same things in life are so amazing.
Here's Jessica at Cafe Urth in Hollywood. :) Lately her style's been slouchy-chic--she looks amazing but she looks like she's not even trying. So jealous. Her daughter is so adorable. I love the name Honor, its so unqiue. Here's how to get Jessica's style. Enjoy!

Nothing much to report. My life has been pretty low key in the past couple days. :) Totally bombed my science test but, oh well. Life goes on right? Am frantically trying to finish reading The Last Song  before I go see it. So far its really good! :) But I'm only five chapters into it.

I've decided to extend the length of my giveaway because, well, this week I kind of just want to relax. Yes, I'm being lazy but its spring break! Next week I'll back into the swing of things and I'll get down to business. I promise! :D

Did anyone go and see Alice in Wonderland? Was it any good? :) Bye! Enjoy the rest of your day.

Dress Like Blake

Blake Lively at a photo shot for Nylon.

Gossip Girl is not just a show about teenagers making out and making stupid descions. I also watch it for the fashion. I don't really care what the boys wear but Chuck sometimes, no I take that back, most of the time he really puzzles me. Hmmm....

Anywho...Blair, played by Leighton Meester, is the Audrey Hepburn-esic girl of the group. She likes classic lines and headbands. If you want to dress like Blair wear headbands. But she has a cute style that fits a high schooler trying to be taken seriously be her elders.

Jenny, played by Taylor Momsen, used to be the cute girl next door who had style on a budget but now...yikes! Why did she chop her beautiful hair? It was the type of hair most girls would kill for but now she has the almost mullet she's sporting. eww! I know she said in her interveiw with Teen Vouge that she cut her hair because the style was more her but....ewww!

Finally Serena, played by Blake Lively, is the golden girl. She doesn't have a hippy look exactly but she is more laid back than the rest. She dresses like it looks like she just threw things on. And on her tall frame it works.

Anyway the picture above is of Blake at a Nylon shoot. The look is super cute. I found garmets that look similar to the ones above. It's a way to get your own piece of Blake's style. Enjoy.
