Lust List: You Belong With Me

Oh, Taylor Swift. You've helped me through long car rides, intense workouts, and the occasional emotional crisis. I bought her newest CD the moment it came out but recently I've become obsessed again. My favorite songs are Mine, Sparks Fly, and Back to December.

Today, I decided to share my latest Lust List with you guys. How did you like my latest post collection, Best Dressed List of 2010? I'm really proud of the work that I did. But anyway, enough rambling. Let's get into the post.

Elizabeth and James Gypsy Sleeveless Silk Blouse

The return to school countdown clock has begun. I can't wait! [note my sarcasm] I hope your new year is off to a brilliant start. Still have to write the research paper that's due the day I get back. Oh, procrastination. You get me every time.

Juicy Couture + Erin Featherston!

Juicy Couture is synonymous with comfy and bold sweats. My sister practically lives in hers. Another little known fact is that the Juicy Couture scent, Viva la Juicy is the inspiration for my blog title. Viva la Fashion. Viva la Juicy. See the correlation?

Anyway, Erin Featherston--budding American designer, and every girly girl's favorite brand have combined forces to create a new line. Slightly less casual but equally as drool-worthy. I smell an online window shopping spree! :)

Juicy Couture's Erin Featherston Collection: Scoop Neck Tee with a Draped Silk Skirt [left] and Velvet Halter Dress [right].

Juicy Couture's Erin Featherston Collection: Bustier Dress [left] and Silk Jumpsuit [right].

If you're starting to look for something to buy a significant female someone [who has a true passion for fashion] in your life, she will love anything from this collection. This collection includes tons of luxurious jewelery and accessories. If you want to see what else Erin Featherston and Juicy Couture created click here.

I hope you enjoyed this trip of online window shopping as much as I did. Enjoy your day. See you tomorrow!

That Makes Scents

I'm a self-professed perfume junkie. My parents know that. My sister knows that. A few of my friends are also privy to that information. And I think a few of my readers know that as well.

So, I'm going to do a perfume/body spray collection once I get home but until then I'm going to do a Lust List featuring my favorite scents. I have a lot of them but I did a little editing. [my sister hates it when i use that word. do you guys get annoyed by the word 'editing'?]

First is my love. The love of all loves. Sigh. The one I have been drooling over for forever. Of course I'm talking about Flowerbomb. My love!

If you've ever smelled Flowerbomb, you'll know what I'm talking about. It is like a feast for the senses [or rather just the nose] but I fall in love each time I smell it. It has this sophisticated smell that's surprisingly young and fresh. And that's really hard to do.

Viktor & Rolf [which was launched the year of my birth. fun fact.] have created a scent that will truly last the ages. It is fresh and fun. Plus I love the juxtaposition of masculine [grenade shaped bottle] and ultra feminine [the use of the word, flower, in the name and the sweet scent]. But I feel like I have to say that violence is never the answer.

Moving on, the next two scents are from Burberry. My favorite fashion house of all time. Yes, even more than Chanel. [I think a few of my readers just entered cardiac arrest] But its so classy. So elegant. And hello? Emma Watson is the face of Burberry. What's not to love?

Well, I absolutely adore their scent, Burberry Brit Sheer. [emphasis on sheer] I actually really, really dislike Burberry Brit. To me it smells old and I just don't understand why you would want to put that on your body. But add the Sheer to it and change a few notes and you have an amazing product.

Sadly enough I'll enter a Sephora and imediately go to the scent section, spray a bit of Burberry Brit Sheer on those smell thing papers [obviously i don't know what they're called] and walk around smelling it as I shop. I know, I'm a complete loser.

But I do enjoy my shopping experience more when I'm smelling my favorite scents.

Next, another Burberry scent. Shocker. Shocker. [a little sarcastic] But it's Burberry London. This smell is a lot more sophisticated than the last two. When I smell it I think red-carpet or dinner party. But it isn't matron-ly.

I don't know how to explain it. It's the scent for the girl who has her life figured out. Who knows where she's going with her head held high. I'm not that girl [i have no idea where i'm going] but I want to be. And I think that's what attracted me to the scent.

I'm not great at explaining what something smells like [ex. honey with undertones of lilac and mango] but I can explain how things make me feel. And that's the best I can do.

Oh, is Burberry Sport a good scent? Surprisingly I've never smelled it. What are your favorite scents? Comment! Follow! :)

Amelia Would Be Jealous Pt. One

Talk about the highlight of fall 2010 rtw. Oh. My. God. Burberry Prorsum was stunning and I mean absolutely stunning. I know that the actually runway show was months ago but right before fall starts I look back and seriously take a look at all the collections.

The show happened in February. Summer hadn't even started yet! And so I took a quick glance in February and then pushed it to the back of my brain. I remember seeing this collection the first time and thinking it was stunning but sometimes I hype memories up in my mind and I remember them being a lot better than they actually are.

That, thankfully, was not the case here. I believe that Christopher Bailey is a genius. [underline and in bold letters!] I love everything he does. And each season I'm just more and more impressed with what he's able to do.

If you couldn't tell from my earlier ravings, Burberry is my favorite fashion house. And rightly so. It is a classic, iconic brand that has been around for [it seems like] forever. Okay, onto the fashion!

Okay, I do have one problem with this collection. And its kind of a big problem: I don't know which jacket I love the most. [laughs] Do you see my dilemma? I mean they're all impeccably tailored and would look amazing in any woman's closet.

Sigh.

I must commend Christopher Bailey for a job well-done. I was hesitant about the whole military trend. I mean, I thought it was cute but after seeing this again...I'm obsessed. :) Sigh.

Shoes For Summer

I know. I know. I keep talking about summer but how can I not? Summer is the season of my birth, (Go Summer babies!) and its also the second best time of the year. Behind Christmas, of course. :) I'm so excited for summer that did some shopping. Here's a quick look at a few of the things I picked up.

My favorite inexpensive picks. All of these shoes are under $20. Some of them you can own at the super low price of $13.49.What do you think? Of the shoes and their price.

The color is adorable. Surpsingly I don't own any pink sandals. I'm not a very big pink fan. I don't know why. I mean I think it can be pretty--it can also be gaudy--but I'm not the girl who's room is covered in pink. Do you find that surprising? Comment below. But I love the color of these shoes. I think I already said that but its true! :)

Flats are perfect for summer. :) I don't normally wear heels--because where I live it rains almost everyday. I mean if we go a whole week without rain, its almost newsworthy. I'm not an everyday heel girl but I love how heels make my legs look. I have these gorgeous platform faux crocodile skin pumps. Gosh. I love those things. :) But back to the shoes, I love the bead detailing. It's that perfect spark of flash that pumps up the volume.

A black and brown flat. Its classic. I have a beautiful pair that I bought a couple years ago but a few years can put a lot of wear and tear on a pair of shoes. :) Even though I don't love the intense galdiator look--you know the one with the straps that reach a girl's knees--I love the echoes of gladiator inspiration. It slightly modernizes an old classic. Every girl needs a basic sandal for summer!
Turquoise. And white. I'm not quite sure what I'd wear these with. Maybe some jeans and a simple tee. Hmmm...what do you think? What outfit would not be complet with these unique, showstoppers? I'm in love with them. I have nothing in my closet that looks anything like this. That's why I think I like it so much. :)

Oh! I'm so excited. I was watching Glee on the FOX website and I finally saw the episode called Acafellas. :) It was the funniest Glee episode I think I've ever seen. There's something extremely funny about four grown men practicing acapella hip-hop in Mr. Schuster's living room.

I was a little late jumping on the Glee bandwagon and so I missed a lot of the earlier episodes. So I was thrilled when I realized I could catch up! :D I just love Glee in general. Are you a Gleek? Comment below!

True Friends Are Forever

My family is having lasagna today! Yum! I just hope my mom doesn't burn it like last time. :) I have made a big decision and I'm going to tell you guys because then I'll be too nervous to back out or quit. Ok. Deep breathe. I'm going to run Cross-Country next year. :)

Now that may not seem like a big deal to you guys but the farthest I've run--in my life--was the two miles I ran with May and Maggie last Spring. And its not like I've been running since then but I got a new treadmill and I assembled it with my sister.

This summer will be filled with blogging, tennis, and running. Wish me luck! :) I'm really excited for Cross-Country but I have this sneaking suspicion that I'm going to be the last girl to finish the races. Please don't let that be me! Ugh.

A little Lust List to celebrate my deciscion! :) I thought about doing a fitness/worktout related one but I was looking at the Forever21 website and realized they had so much cute stuff. I couldn't not share this with you guys. Was the double negative in the previous sentance confusing?
__

The cardigan is extremely similar to the 7 For All Mankind Cardigan in one of my later posts. :) Its a cheaper option but still a chic option. I know. Its all the years of my mom's training. She always taught me to look for a steal not just a deal.

Yum! Lasagna is calling my name. See you guys later! Bye. :) Oh, and don't forget to check out my giveaway. And thinking about beefing up the prize because I bought a few things from Bath and Body Works. So be sure to keep your eyes open! :)

Seventh Heaven

Just got home and I'm exhausted. The second part of a two part math final will do that to you. Sigh. It was a long day. Tomorrow I have a Japanese final. Only problem: I don't really speak Japanese. Wish me luck! :)

But enough about that. Its time to get to the fashion! Yes, scanning through the 7 For All Mankind website is fun and thrilling and most of all--relaxing. I've compiled a Lust List of my favorite things from the website. I couldn't fit in all the jeans I wanted to buy so I only posted about one. Do you own a pair of 7 jeans? If so write down in the comments about what type you have and what you think. :) I hope you enjoy.

7 For All Mankind Jeans are amazing. When I went to visit my Aunt's a while ago I actually got to visit an actual store. That's kind of a big deal considering where I live. :) I went with a girl named Brynn. And let me tell you she has amazing style.

I love her laid back, part rocker chic, and part girly-girl. I don't know exactly how to explain it but I absolutely LOVE her style. At the time I remember being so envious of her cool, collected confidence. But anyway, Brynn was the girl who opened my eyes to 7. Sorry for the random tangent most of you didn't care about. But I kind of got a little sentimental. :) I'm so excited to go back to my Aunt's this summer! Eeep! :D

Question. Do you enjoy window shopping or do you just see it as a form of torture? Comment below.

Beachy Fun--Hopefully in the Sun

Just finished up a tag post that I'm going to publish tomorrow. So if you like tags come back tomorrow. If you don't...well, then I guess it will be a sad day for you. But I hope you love reading tags as much as I love writing them and reading them. :)

Anyway, I got some great news today. :) Me and my sister are getting a pool! I'm beyond thrilled. Its not an in-ground pool or anything. Its just bigger than the kiddie one that has been chilling in the garage for the past twelve years.

The pool will only be about four/five feet deep but I think its the coolest thing ever. Question. Is it safe to jump off a trampaline into a pool? Or does it just look cool? Please comment below.

I haven't gotten a new swim suit yet but as it still feelings like late winter, where I live, and I don't need one yet. But in a couple weeks I'm going to have a swim suit shopping spree. :) My mom is going to be thrilled. Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice?

So excited for pool season. Is there anything more exciting? Nope. Not even close. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. A big exaggeration but you know what I'm saying.

I was playing around with Polyvore, I think I've become obsessed, and I came up with a wishlist. A beachy, fun-in-the-sun wishlist. The two piece in the Polyvore is adorable. I'm in love.

I'm a huge fan of the dark, navy blue. The color is perfect in summer. Its so very nautical. :) And as a Navy brat myself, I'm very partial to the sea.

Went over to a friend's house today and watched Gone With the Wind. It is a FOUR HOUR long movie. Four hours!! I had no idea it was that long. :) It was a good movie but it was just too long. Way too long. I adored Rhett.

He was so funny. I loved how he and Scarlet met. Clark Gable is a genius. And despite the fact that he was arrogant and sometimes strange, I found myself rooting for him more than Scarlet. Well, one classic movie down. Thousands more to go. :)

Bye! Talk to you guys later. If you feel the need, please comment below. Or even push the follow button to your right. Thank You! :D

Waiting on Some Beautiful Boy To...

Another lust list coming at you. :) Spring break is coming up. If I could describe my thoughts about the subject in one word I would say, "Yes!!!"

Can you tell I'm excited? Hmmm...:)

When I started writing my blog post on my Elizabeth and James lust list I knew there were too many lusty objects than I could fit in one blog post without boring 80% of you to death--or worse. So I split it into two parts. Wow, how ingenius of me. These are the EJ casual shoes that I simply drooled over. :)

First. I have to discuss these shoes. Are they not amazing? They are a mix between a ballet flat and sandal. I love 'em! Love! Love! :D I don't think there are enough words to describe how much I want these shoes. They're so different and I don't think I'll be able to find an affordable dupe for these ones. If anyone does know where to get shoes like these--without having to  pay a fortune--please comment!

The color is amazing. The braid detail is gorgeous. And the combonation of the two equals a masterpiece. Okay, maybe I went a little overboard but I'm a girl obsessed with flats and sandals of any kind. I'm kind of a little ungraceful so I'm always that I'll do something in embarassing in heels--like fall. :) So, so cute! These shoes would be the perfect addition to my closet. If only...

Do I even need to explain my thought process? Oh, okay. I will. :) Two words: Stunning Detailing. Okay, I'm done.

The pointed flat is crazy adorable. Doesn't it make you appear thinner? Even if it doesn't, who cares? Its so darn adorable! Hahahaha. And laser cutouts combined with the unique color that would look amazing with a pair of denim cutoffs and a plain white tee equates to a stunning outfit! Sigh. :)

I have recently rediscovered the song, "When You Were Young" by The Killers. Blame my friend May! But its been playing on my itunes as I've written this post. Lalalalaa. If only you could hear me sing. Most of you would die of laughter. :)

But he talks like a gentleman. Like you imagined. When you were young! Can we climb this moutain? I don't know.

That was just me. Just singing. :) Enjoy the rest of your day! Comment! Follow!

Summer With Alice and Olivia

I just got done seeing the previews for The Last Song and I find myself longing for the summer. I long to hear the waves crashing on the beach with the sun's warmth on my back. I want to feel the sand between my toes. Sigh. I cearly don't live by the beach. Plus its so cold where I live, even if there was a beach no one would go swiming anway.

Or at least no sane people would. Well, my longing for summer has transformed into a lusting for Alice + Olivia's summer-y dresses.  They're adorable and if one pairs them with cute tights and a jacket/cardigan they could be put to use during the Winter/Spring.

L: Kaleigh Striped Tank Dress      R: Polka-Dot Trina Tunic

Parker Tank Dress with Open Weave Scarf.

L: Olivia Origami Bustier Dress     R: Taryn Twisted Halter Dress

When will summer get here? Ugh! I just want the school year to end.

It seems like I've been super thristy all day. I mean no matter how many liquids I consume I'm still like super thristy. Its really weird and I don't know whats going on. Hmmm....I don't know.

On a somber note I'd just like to say RIP Lee Alexander McQueen. You were a force in the fashion world and will be missed.

Bye ladies.
