Heart D&G

D&G's S/S 2011 RTW collectionw was super refreshing and very literal. What screams spring more than floral prints? :) I also loved the Snow White tees, probably because I'm at Disney World right now so I'm very nostalgic right now.

But, truly D&G was clean, sweet, and young.

I was in love with all the red that came down the runway. I try to wear red as often as I can [don't worry. i do have other colors in my wardrobe.] because it makes my complexion so rosy and my hair look shinier. But honesty, the designing duo of  Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are the only people who could make bright red leather shorts look fashion-forward not tacky. Those red boots are also stunning!

D&G is a master of mixing prints. I love mixing prints but sometimes its a lot harder than fashion magazines make it look. But this entire collection is filled with looks that I want to steal off the runway and throw into my closet. Also, for some reason I adore that large green canvas bag. Total highlight.

And continuing on with the roomper trend that seemed to explode last summer, is back with D&G. They sent several classic rompers down the runway but what I really loved were those pant rompers. So simple. So chic. :) These would really come in handy on those mornings when I'm a zombie.

Accents of khaki gave this collection a steady base to stand on. D&G could have esaily gone over board with floral prints and more floral prints and more floral prints. But these basic neutrals were a nice breate of air. D&G managed to make khaki seem young and fresh. Love those shorts. :)

Spring is looking pretty good from here. :) Lately I've really, really liked Selena Gomez's new song, A Year Without Rain. What do you guys think?

This is Priceless

Nicole Richie has been making the rounds promoting her new book, Priceless. I actually caught her interview on GMA. Nicole is a style icon. Its seems that no matter what she's doing, she looks effortlessly boho chic. And don't we all remember her in her Simple Life days?
_
That was soooo long ago. My sister loved that show. Now, Nicole has transformed into a classy woman with two children and marraige in the future [maybe?]. She was very coy on GMA. But I learned that Nicole had written a book four years ago.

It's called The Truth About Diamonds: A Novel. I don't remember it coming out. Do you? Maybe I was just in another world at that time. Sometimes that happens. But to celebrate Nicole, I'm doing a post about her style that has filled the pages of countless bloggers. [you guys know its true]

Nicole is just shopping in Beverly Hills. Her street style is simple and very, very bohemian. The floopy hat is so casual compared to her over-the-knee boots and vintage fur vest. She's a master at mixing pieces whether its patterns or textures or...just clothing in general. :)

That pop of red is to die! :) Sigh. I know I sound so stupid but I'm a huge fan of bright, bold pops of colors. Its so simple and red looks so good on brunettes. I don't know why, I'm sure there's some reason, but the contrast between the brown and the red is just amazing. [oh, in case you couldn't guess i have brown hair]

First of all, let me say that those cut out shoes are amazing! How fashion forward, yet entirely wearable. And don't get me wrong I love editorial but ready to wear is my bread and butter. And also only Nicole Richie could pull off tights, denim shorts, a bejewled vest, and Louboutins without looking like a gypsy escapee.

[this is random but everytime i write the word escape, i mentall say "es-caw-pay" like from Finding Nemo. my friend used to do it all the time and now its worn off on me]

I'm off to Florida in a couple days. My school has a break coming up so its the perfect time. I know I might have mentioned this already but I'm planning on pre-writing blogs and then posting them, so if my next couple posts seem weird, or odd, or any other synonym for not normal, then you'll know why.

Umm...is there anything [besides Disney World and Universal Studios] that I should do when I'm down there? Advice is gladly taken.

Check out my Facebook page. There should be a link on the bottom of my left side bar. Please become a fan. I update that more with pictures from my life if you're interested. I haven't updated much lately but I'm tyring to change that. :) Bye!

See Who's Wearing DVF

DVF! She knows a woman's body and knows how to make that body look its best. And isn't that what we all what? None of us are perfect but fashion is just about making it look like we do. And Ms. von Furstenberg knows how to do that.

See her work in action.

Diane von Furstenberg is master with prints and color. She isn't afraid to take risks and her risks in color have been known to pay off. Whether she does it short [Cameron Diaz] or long [Jessica Biel] she makes a woman look and feel confident.

But just because she is a wonder with colors doesn't mean she can't go the neutral route. Alexis Bledel looks stunning in black and white. Her lace up sandals are strong but compliment rather than compete with her graphic dress. Don't her blue eyes just seem to pop?

And Julia Roberts looks AH-Mazing! Her DVF shorts are the perfect compliment for her Stella McCartney jacket. Those colbalt-blue, bohemian bangles and earrings help make an almost all black outfit look fresh and young. Who needs pants when you have DVF shorts?

Daine [here with Molly Simms backstage at her Spring 2011 RTW show] is truly an icon. And don't you love her in risktaking yellow? She always puts a smile on my face. Always. :)

Plus she was on American's Next Top Model's season permiere. And wasn't she on Gossip Girl? DVF is all over the CW! Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Comment below!

School is starting to get a little intense and I might not blog as often as I should. I'm here to say sorry in advance. I'll try to write blogs in advance and then just post them but I don't know if that'll happen. :) Happy Thursday. Just one more day until the weekend. Yes!
